Amerikooler Executive Receives Prestigious Apogee Award


South Florida Business & Wealth Magazine recognizes Viviana Santisteban for her excellence in the Human Resources field. 

The Apogee Awards, created by South Florida Business & Wealth (SFBW) Magazine to recognize distinguished leaders in the area, recently awarded Viviana Santisteban of Amerikooler the 2016 award for Best HR Executive in Dade County.

Santisteban, the Vice President of HR at Amerikooler, has over 20 years of experience in the Human Resources field. During her time at Amerikooler, she has transformed the company’s culture and recruiting strategy, with the goal of making the company one of the most desirable places to work in the South Florida area.

“Viviana has been an amazing executive for Amerikooler,” Gian Carlo Alonso, CEO of Amerikooler said. “Her strategic thinking and direction has allowed us to chase aggressive growth goals while continuing to be a leader in the walk-in cooler and freezer space.”

Santisteban’s extensive HR background includes holding leadership roles in the hospitality and manufacturing industries in both the United States and abroad (including Mexico, Costa Rica and Puerto Rico). She has previously worked for such companies as Mandarin Oriental, Four Seasons, Biltmore and Nobu Hospitality. Her career in HR began while she was working at Burger King’s corporate offices.

A member of the South Florida Hospitality HR Association for over 20 years, Santisteban served as a board member for 15 of those years. Additionally, she is an active member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and the Greater Miami SHRM chapter. She is a proud graduate of Hood College in Frederick, Maryland.
